The Somerset Foundation is a young non-profit focused on provided basic essentials to the world’s refugee population. A worthy and wonderful cause, the charities administrators knew a strong web presence was necessary for establishing their legitimacy with the governments for the areas they served and for processing the donations that keep their mission alive. With the majority of their funds centered on directly providing for refugees, the budget for a high-end website was limited at best. Aero was proud to work with Somerset and donate portions of our time toward making sure their web needs were met.

The goodness and works of the Somerset Foundation speak for themselves. They were fortunate to have volunteers photograph and take footage of the organization in action. The web design homed in on the powerful imagery and simplistically laid out the actions users could take to get involved. The site serves as a resource for visitors to learn about the refugee crisis in different parts of the world and as a call action for users to donate their time and financial resources. Aero enables social sharing for all major social media platforms to help spread the word. Donations were set up using a Stripe integration that was user-friendly for both the Somerset staff and those making donations. The development team built in filtering to showcase the ongoing projects in different countries without redirecting the user. The site received thorough quality assurance on a variety of desktop, mobile screens, and web browsers.

Today, the Somerset Foundation’s website draws users into their story, vision, and accomplishments. Donations are easily made and managed by the team and interest in their projects has piqued across the globe. The Aero team is proud of the efforts and daily impact Somerset has on the refugee population and encourages everyone to put thoughtful consideration into supporting their efforts.
