A crystal clear mission
Tennessee based Training BOOM came to our attention early in the year wanting to update their brand & logo and overhaul their website. They also wanted it to be a stronger marketing tool while filling an important gap.
The FAA requires pilots to complete ongoing training each year. Keeping them up to date on their required yearly training can be costly and time- consuming. BOOM’s learning management system allows pilots to complete this remotely, instead of via traditional classroom training.
Their fairly upscale demographic consists of mature, well-established pilots who may be unfamiliar or uncomfortable with computer technology to younger pilots who are very tech savvy. Creating a site that appealed to both was at the top of the list. Training BOOM’s new, eye-catching logo sports a three blade turbo propeller and a tagline, online aviation training making their mission very clear.
Training BOOM Library
Training BOOM began by opting out of a limited color theme and too much white. Aero applied exciting and dynamic imagery in keeping with the aviation theme. The new home page drop down menu uses a strong indigo background contrasting against bright white text, and pops off the page for easy reading, like stars against a night sky. The gold highlighting bar makes selection visibility just a little bit nicer.
White airplane images dominated the old site, Aero chose stunning views from the cockpit, showing the unmatched beauty of vistas from within a plane above the clouds. The subtle difference in perspective makes a great impact. Richly colored cloudscape headers fuel the feeling that inspires pilots to flight.
Their training library previously listed alphabetically their extensive catalog information in columns. For visitors, those titles were not clickable. Some carried self-explanatory titles. The new page contains primary modules for Aviation safety and over 50 other aviation related topics. Each training module is contained in its own box, titled and complete with high definition photographs which further explain the content.
Ready to go wherever they land
Their bright support page judiciously uses white space and limits content presenting clear, upbeat imagery that echoes the cheerful support theme of the page. Scroll-down paging reveals concise information just as questions begin forming in a visitor’s mind, answering them one by one.
Bold call to action buttons for scheduling a free demo are accessible across all devices and mobile phones. Streamlined information makes the sight appealing in the way a loaded treasure chest appeals. The simple navigation bar makes the most important tabs visible. The highly detectible call to actions buttons can be activated even on the smallest device.
This comprehensive site additionally enables visitors access to the blog and invites them to sign up for premium content. Contact information graces the bottom of every page, keeping the site cohesive, informative and understated. The site makes excellent use of intuitive experience and is laid out in the way a visitor would seek information.
